Nicki Minaj knows just how to (not) integrate American low culture in a Scottish pastime: golfing with butts.
Singer Nicki Minaj hosted the MTV Europe Music Awards for its 20th anniversary in Glasgow, Scotland. Although AP reported [1] the star’s “more provocative side was kept under tight control,” Minaj a putted into a butt-shaped mini-golf hole as a “tribute to Scotland's love of golf.”
"I've been learning so much about your beautiful country and culture ... I've pretty much become Scottish," Minaj gushed at the event. To show her support of the country, she rapped about whiskey and shortbread and sang The Proclaimers' anthem "500 Miles."
Showcasing her butt on stage, Minaj performed her media-adored “Anaconda” [2] – and Katy Perry snuggled with [3] a pillow of Minaj’s butt during the show.
Minaj won the award for best hip-hop artist.
Minaj is no fan of the traditional. In February 2012, Minaj sacrilegiously mocked [4] the Catholic Church in a Grammy-approved performance by making fun of confession, exorcisms and the traditional hymn, "O Come All Ye Faithful."
