The Times Finally Puts Right Label on Communist Khmer Rouge

Times Watch recently criticized the paper for scrubbing a reference to the Communist nature of the genocidal Khmer Rouge. Today, the word "Communist" is prominent.

Good for the Times: In Thursday's edition, Seth Mydans reported from Cambodia on how many of the young are ignorant of the atrocities committed by the Communist Khmer Rouge.


Times Watch recently criticized the Times [1]for scrubbing away a reference to the Communist nature of the genocidal Khmer Rouge from an earlier Mydans report, about a Khmer Rouge killer on trial. But today the description in "Young Cambodians [2]Are Oblivious of Khmer Rouge Horrors [2]" is put up front and center:
