Jeffrey Gettleman reports onincreasing anti-Americanism in Africa for theSunday Week in Review, "Across [1]Africa [1], a Sense That U.S. Power Isn't So Super [1]."
Why would hatred of the United States be at a recent high? Iraq, of course: "The ceaselessness of Baghdad's bloodshed has greatly undermined the United States' credibility, fanned anti-American feelings in Muslim regions like the Horn of Africa, and drained resources that might otherwise have been available to address other problems."
Glad we cleared that up.
