Velshi: Gas and Oil Price Relationship Hard to Understand

For a business reporter, you would think CNN’s Ali Velshi would have a grasp of market trends – especially with oil and gasoline prices.

However, on “American Morning,” a show that claims to have the “most news in the morning every weekday,” Velshi plead ignorance when it came to the relationship between oil prices and pump prices.

The federal minimum wage went up on by 70 cents July 24, to the delight of liberal politicians and many journalists.

CNN’s Ali Velshi greeted the change calling it “unmitigated good news” on “American Morning” July 24.

“We’ve been underpaying minimum wage earners for too long,” Velshi continued.

Bottled Water Bash: Networks Continue Assault

Bottled water has been attacked recently for environmental damage, but now Aquafina’s bottler, PepsiCo is under fire for not previously disclosing the source of its water.

“Don’t let that scenic [Aquafina] logo fool you, this water is not bottled from a mountain stream,” said Rob Marciano on CNN’s “American Morning.” Marciano’s report on July 30 informed viewers than PepsiCo has disclosed the source of its water after pressure from Corporate Accountability International.
