Reports of her left-wing outburst at Harvardin Junehaven't damaged Linda Greenhouse's in-house reputation for reliable newsgathering. Monday'shum-drum lead, "Roberts Court May Be Defined In Second Term - Will Face Divisive Issues," is penned by thepaper's now-infamous SupremeCourt reporter, last seen at her Harvard alma materspouting, among other things, that"our government had turned its energy and attention away from upholding the rule of law and toward creating law-free zones at Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib, Haditha, and other places around the world."
Lucianne.com suspects the prominent placement of this evergreentype ofstory is a pledge of support, "more of a there-there to Linda Greenhouse than news you can use."
