Times Still Ignoring Air America Woes

Air America is undertaking layoffs and may file for bankruptcy, but the Times is apparently only interested in doing positive PR for the left-wing radio network.

Strangely, Richard Siklos' Friday Business article about declining audiences for various radio formats contains no reference to one particular niche that's been really hard hit lately: Left-wing talk radio. Two days after the news broke at the left-wing websiteThinkProgress, The Times has yet to make a mention of the layoffs, paycheck problems, and rumors of impending bankruptcy at Air America, the foundering left-wing radio network.

The Times has made a habit of ignoring bad news about Air America (like its "borrowing" of $800,000 from a Bronx boys and girls club), although it trumpeted the network's debut with a huge cover story on Al Franken in its magazine.
