Twitter Trend: Planned Parenthood Makes Tim Howard Into ‘Sperm Goalie’

PP takes to Twitter, memes to take a share in Howard’s internet popularity.

Planned Parenthood has chosen a new spokesman for birth control: Tim Howard.

Howard, the U.S. A. soccer team’s goalie, made 16 goal saves – the most recorded in World Cup history – in the team’s losing effort against Belgium. Howard instantly surfaced as a media darling – and, with his successful “prevention,” a new way for Planned Parenthood to advertise birth control on Twitter:

As part of the trend, Planned Parenthood retweeted Kellie Spilman, who happens to run social media for the abortion giant:

Local Planned Parenthoods followed suit, with Planned Parenthood Advocates for Ohio tweeting:

As well as retweeted:

It’s doubtful Planned Parenthood asked for Howard’s permission – while the networks don’t mention his faith, Howard describes himself as a staunch Christian.
