"What Opponents of the Procedure Call...."

The procedure that shall not be named: Partial-birth abortion.

In news that cheered conservatives, the Supreme Court Wednesday morning ruled by a vote of 5-4 to uphold the ban on partial-birth abortion.

While continuous news desk reporter David Stout's online take on the story was balanced, a post from Times editor Sarah Wheaton (a bit of a Hillary fan?) on the Times' political blog "The Caucus" used standard, awkwardliberal media terminology in describing the partial-birth abortion ban.

"Several of the candidates have already put out statements regarding today's 5-4 Supreme Court decision upholding a nationwide ban on what opponents of the procedure call partial-birth abortion."
