ALEXANDRIA, Va. -- Yesterday, in a well publicized announcement MSNBC, cancelled Donahue and its in-your-face liberalism after six months of plummeting ratings. The show lasted a whopping 223 days.

MSNBC put this show on the air to attract a large liberal audience to compete with the OReilly Factor on Fox. Unfortunately it didnt work. The size of Donahues audience could fit into a Volkswagen bus, said L. Brent Bozell, President of the Media Research Center.

In November MSNBC tried to tweak the program by putting Donahue in front of a live audience in New York instead of in a New Jersey studio. The move to the Big Apple made little difference as the ratings continued to drop.

I am sure more people heard about the shows cancellation than ever watched it. But liberals shouldnt be discouraged. There is plenty of room for shows like Donahue, so long as the cable networks dont care that no one is watching, continued Bozell.

Recently the New York Times reported that a group of Clinton-Gore donors will be financing a venture to create a liberal talk-radio network.

The men wasting their time and money on a corporate spun liberal talk-radio network can now hire Donahue. Maybe then their radio network will follow in the footsteps of MSNBCs success, concluded Bozell.
