Alexandria, Va. The cover story of the May 14 issue of TIME magazine claims to name the 100 most influential men and women shaping our world, but it excludes the President of the United States, George W. Bush. In response to TIMEs exclusion of listing the President, Media Research Center President Brent Bozell issued the following statement:

TIMEs exclusion of the President from its top 100 list is a deliberate and transparent slap at President Bush, the leader of the most powerful country in the world. One can agree or disagree with President Bushs policies, but there is no denying that he is influential. His veto pen proved that this week.

TIME magazine and other liberal media ruminate and complain about the President nearly every single day. He is in the news and making news and affecting lives and policies and countries around the world. If TIME does not think President Bush is worthy of the top 100 most influential list, then why in the world do TIME and the liberal media complain about the President so often and so loudly?

To say President Bush does not merit listing among the 100 most influential people in the world is beyond ludicrous, especially when one considers who TIME did put on the list.

Among TIMEs 100 Most Influential People:

Tina Fey, actress
Rosie ODonnell, entertainer
Leonardo DiCaprio, actor
Justin Timberlake, entertainer
Sacha Baron Cohen, entertainer
Osama bin Laden, terrorist
Chinas Communist President Hu Jintao
Al Gore, former vice president, among TIMEs Scientists & Thinkers
