Entertainment Weekly Wonders if Kids Movie Heroine is Gay

As if there aren’t enough pro-gay messages in pop culture, some liberals seem to hope that if they squint hard enough, they’ll see them everywhere – even in Disney and Pixar kids movies. 

Entertainment Weekly believes it spied some good gay in joined in the current hit “Brave.” A June 24 EW article [1] stated, “But could Merida [the main character] be gay? Absolutely. She bristles at the traditional gender roles that she’s expected to play: the demure daughter, the obedient fiancée.”

So because Merida chooses her own fate and likes to do some things some other girls do not, like archery and rock climbing, she must be a lesbian? All that’s missing is wondering whether she real plays softball, or follows the LPGA.

But when you’re celebrating the gay agenda, stereotypes are allowed. Hollywood and Hollywood-focused publications like EW are nothing if not pro-gay.

And maybe EW saw gay in “Brave” because audiences have become accustom to being hit with LGBT propaganda at every turn. CMI has long reported [2] on Hollywood’s support for the gay agenda, such as when celebrities exuberantly [3] celebrated [4] President Obama’s recent declaration of support for gay marriage [5], and when late night talk show host Conan O’Brian officiated at a gay wedding. 

This trend is reflected most recently by the Pentagon’s acknowledgement of Gay Pride Month. Gay Pride Month is celebrated in June in honor of the 69’ Stonewall Riots [6], where LGBT’s resisted a police raid with violence. Even Oreo decided to flirt with homosexuality by producing a photoshopped gay Oreo for advertising purposes. A spokesperson for Oreo’s parent company Kraft Foods said [7], “As a company, Kraft Foods has a proud history of celebrating diversity and inclusiveness. We feel the OREO ad is a fun reflection of our values.” 

And those values appear to be convenience instead of morality, and the good-will and share-of-wallet Kraft can wring from gays and their allies.
