CBS Takes One Last Bite at Chick-fil-A

Highlights lesbian-created ‘Chick on Chick-fil-A’ sandwich to bash company.

CBS couldn’t resist taking one parting bite at Chick-fil-A. On Aug. 6, CBS “This Morning” anchors Gayle King and Jeff Glor highlighted a lesbian chef’s “Chick on Chick Filet,” made with “loving chicken breasts,” a “honey mustard witness,” and “tolerant fries.”

Anchor Jeff Glor reported: “The Houston Press tells us about a restaurant weighing in on the Chick-fil-A same-sex marriage controversy. Beaver’s Restaurant in Houston, which is owned by a lesbian chef, created a special sandwich. The Chick on Chick-fil-A is described as ‘two loving chicken breasts married on toasty buns with a honey mustard witness and joined in celebration with tolerant fries.’ Their words. Long story short: That’s a sandwich.”

Anchor Gayle King responded while laughing: “I’d give it a try.”

CBS has made no secret of its position on the manufactured Chick-fil-A controversy. They buried coverage of Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day on August 1, waiting until the morning to cover the massive crowds supporting the embattled fast-food restaurant.

But the giggling anchors highlighted a sandwich made to make a point about same-sex marriage. Perhaps the CBS anchors should try to do a better job keeping their bias regarding same-sex marriage hidden.

Or they may want to feature their own CBS “This Morning” concoction: A “Chicken on Chick-fil-A” sandwich: a ham and a turkey married on a stale morning show, with a honey-mustard bias and joined in obfuscation with smugly self-righteous fries.
