CNN’s Jake Tapper Attends ‘Book of Jezebel’ Party

The world of the elite liberal media is a small one. Witness Jezebel founder Anna Holmes and CNN’s Jake Tapper.

The Washington Post’s Megan McDonough covered Holmes’ newly published “The Book of Jezebel,” on the Style section’s front page via her piece: “A compilation of lady things, A to Jezebel.” In the Oct. 30 article, McDonough noted the presence of CNN’s “The Lead” Host Jake Tapper at a party after a D.C. book reading.

“The Book of Jezebel,” “an illustrated encyclopedia of lady things” edited by Holmes (a former Post columnist herself), drew inspiration from the ultraliberal-feminist site, Jezebel. Jezebel reaches 12 million readers per month, according to MSNBC’s “The Cycle” on Oct. 28.

At the event, Tapper expressed excitement about a reference to 20th century suffragist Alice Paul, the namesake of his daughter. “We come from a very empowered household, so any book that has an encyclopedia entry of Alice Paul is welcome,” he told McDonough.

As host of CNN’s “The Lead,” Jake Tapper previously called Holmes’ book “a great read” and interviewed her on Oct. 23. Tapper and Holmes have been “pals” since the 90s

While McDonough advertised the publication as “a platform for discussion or entertainment bathroom reading” and highlighted a woman who plans to instruct her 4-year-old granddaughter with the book, she censored the more divisive material. “The Book of Jezebel” defines numerous controversial terms such as:

  • Birth control: “the medical advancement that allows you to avoid a life incubating human after human until your reproductive parts eventually fail”
  • Children: “side effect of sex.”
  • Condom: “a must-have accessory for protection against two potentially life-threatening conditions: AIDS (among other STIs) and babies.”
  • Liberal: “Person with dangerous left-wing political opinions, such as ‘women are human.’”
  • Misogyny: Exemplified by God, Aristotle, Phyllis Schlafly, Rush Limbaugh, The Republican Party, Allen West
  • Terrorist: “The right wing’s go-to term for anyone who opposes their ideology and/or seems vaguely Muslim. (Or Brown!)”

None of which is terribly shocking when you party with the D.C. media set.
