Lady Gaga Introduces New ‘Very Slutty Perfume’
Lady Gaga’s quest to shock and to court controversy continues. On Sept.13, Lady Gaga released a new fragrance called “Fame,” referring to her new scent as a “very slutty perfume.”
The controversial pop star introduced her new perfume after launching a bizarre ad campaign for the fragrance in July. The labels on bottles of “Fame” describe the smell of the scent as “tears of Belladonna, crushed heart of tiger orchidea, with a black veil of incense, pulverized apricot, and, the combinative essences of saffron and honey drops.”
Lady Gaga put a lot of effort and thought into the creation of her new perfume. She boasted: “It was taken out of my own blood sample, so it’s a sense of having me on your skin. I wanted to extract sort of the feeling and sense of blood and semen from molecular structures, so that’s where [the rumors] came from. That is in the perfume, but it doesn’t smell like that. Actually, the perfume smells like an expensive hooker.” She also insisted that the perfume be black in color, but spray on clear.
The singer also discussed “Fame” on a Good Morning America segment, declaring: “I wanted it to be a very slutty perfume. Because that is sort of the addictive nature of fame that it is, it is seductive.”
Lady Gaga emphasized the perfume’s supposed aphrodisiac qualities. “It’s for someone that wants to seduce someone. You shouldn’t wear it if you’re not likely to look for a lover, because it’s going to attract them.” She continued with a more personal statement: “The actual scent is something that I, Lady Gaga, would use to seduce someone.”
Lady Gaga, of course, is no stranger to providing her fans with titillating material. She released a graphic and vulgar song titled “Stuck on F***ing You” on Christmas. Like Lady Gaga, Hollywood’s celebrities are also notorious for embracing questionable moral behavior.
“Fame” accurately represents the seductive nature of fame – at least as practiced by pop stars like Lady Gaga.
