Ed Schultz to Sandra Fluke: Rush Limbaugh 'Did You a Favor'
On Thursday's Ed Show, MSNBC's Ed Schultz gleefully reminded guest
Sandra Fluke of when Rush Limbaugh called her a "slut," but completely
ignored his own suspension from MSNBC for saying the same of Laura
Ingraham.
"I think Limbaugh actually did you a favor by putting you out there
like that," Schultz poured on the praise. "I hope you understand where
I'm going on that. I mean exposure is very important. People now look to
you in a big, big way for leadership on some very pertinent issues."

And Schultz took a dig at Limbaugh's ratings: "You were cast on the
scene after Rush Limbaugh took after you for three days on the radio,
which is actually seriously affected the radio industry."
Of course, Schultz left out his infamous radio rant from 2011 when he
smeared Laura Ingraham as a "right-wing slut." MSNBC suspended him for a
week.

attorney and candidate for California state senate. Sandra,
congratulations. It's always a big decision when you decide to go into
public service. You were cast on the scene after Rush Limbaugh took
after you for three days on the radio, which is actually seriously
affected the radio industry. You of course were trying to testify in
front of Darrell Issa's committee when it came to women's health care
issues. So here you are. I think Limbaugh actually did you a favor by
putting you out there like that. I hope you understand where I'm going
on that. I mean exposure is very important. People now look to you in a
big, big way for leadership on some very pertinent issues.
SANDRA FLUKE: Well thank you, and I agree with you. I agree with you
that exposure is important, because it lets us shine a light on
important issues that we need to be talking about.
