Confessions of a Revenge-aholic

I have a few confessions of my own from this week's episode of Revenge. and in honor of Conrad Grayson's Catholicism, let me try and do this right.

Father, forgive me for I have sinned. My last confession was never. (I'm a Protestant so why would I go to confession?)

First: Yes, I do write my own headlines. You can blame me for the cheesy, over-used "blank-aholic" bit. My bad, father.

Second: The use of Lorde's Royals to introduce Nolan's party was absolutely perfect. Loved it, father. Have a listen while you here the rest of my confession.

Third: I don't know about you, father, but I was deeply disappointed by the return of Aiden. This was played up as a big thing. We were led to believe that Aiden was working against Emily now. But, spoilers father, he is really just being a double agent. Ugh. I guess we should have seen the signs when he never actually told Victoria who Emily really was, but still...

Fourth: I'm a little weirded out by the Nolan/Patrick dynamic. There's a creepy pseudo-sexual dynamic that is just plain uncomfortable.

Fifth: Despite these problems from Sunday's episode, I must confess that I was kept on the edge of my seat as to how the theme of this episode, confession, would play out. Initially, I thought/hoped that Conrad would confess, but didn't dare dream that he actually would. Yet, as the episode played out, that prospect continued to grow. Much to my dismay did I realize at the end that I had been played a cruel trick by the writers. For that I have much anger in my heart, father.

I am sorry for these and all the sins of my past life. I shall surely do my penance, which is that in another life I have to watch The View and The Wendy Williams Show every day, every week.

Kyrie eleison.
