Hillary to CNN's Blitzer: Pick Up That Paint Brush, and Join the Whitewash The Clinton Campaign Demands Still More Complicit Business As Usual From the Media

Alexandria, VA- Media Research Center (MRC) President L. Brent Bozell could not help but laugh at today's revelation that the Hillary Clinton campaign has issued a preemptive threat to Thursday night's Democratic debate moderator Wolf Blitzer.

"This is not in the least bit surprising," said Bozell. "Any deviation into actual journalism by any member of the normally accommodating media is grounds for war for team Clinton. This warning to Blitzer is her campaign's equivalent of saber-rattling, with the intent of beating a potential enemy into submission."

This occurs on the heels of NBC moderator Tim Russert having the audacity to ask Senator Clinton a legitimate question in the last Democratic debate regarding whether or not she would allow illegal aliens to obtain driver's licenses. The candidate gave both a "Yes" and a "No" answer inside of two minutes.

In anticipation of CNN's Blitzer daring to ask a similarly pertinent question this Thursday, a top Clinton insider said "This campaign is about issues, not on who we can bring down and destroy. Blitzer should not go down to the levels of character attack and pull 'a Russert'".

"I take it then that to pull 'a Russert' is to practice actual journalism?" asked Bozell. "Tim (Russert) should be flattered."

"So, Senator Clinton wishes to run a campaign about issues? Fine, what about the issue of driver's licenses for illegals?

"It speaks volumes as to the kid glove treatment Hillary is used to receiving from the media that she would take such offense to the simple posing of a good and fair question," said Bozell.

Bozell's new book, written with MRC Director of Research Tim Graham and released November 13th, is entitled Whitewash: What the Media Won't Tell You About Hillary Clinton, But Conservatives Will. It documents in detail how the media have consistently and continuously avoiding reporting on her stridently liberal record and agenda and her great many personal, political and financial scandals, and how they have instead served as her de facto promotions department.

Said Bozell, "The full Whitewash is on; Russert rested his bristles for but a moment, and the Clinton response was swift and harsh.

"Her message is clear: brush off the facts, and keep those whitewash brushes going."
