The Soros Project is a collection of original research detailing the substantial influence of liberal billionaire George Soros and other top liberal donors.

The 1st Amendment says Congress shall make no law “respecting the establishment" "of the press.” Someone should tell Congress. In 10 years, the U.S. government spent $364 million funding the liberal journalism nonprofit Internews, also supported by left-wing billionaire George Soros.

Internews was founded by a self-described Marxist anti-war protester. It has received $1.7 million from Soros, which pales in comparison to the fat government checks it has received. In 2011 alone, it sucked up $52,350,784 in government grants, according to its 990 tax forms. This made up 92.4 percent of the $56,644,153 in total reported revenue for that year.

And 2011 wasn’t unusual. According to the Soros-funded Center for Public Integrity, “all but $1.6 million of the $26.7 million in revenue it [Internews] reported in 2004 came from the federal government.”

Yet Internews runs a...

The Washington Post slammed Charles and David Koch  for their “political network” on the paper’s front page Jan. 6, but they partnered with a group funded by George Soros to get their information.

The Post proudly stated its partnership with the Center for Responsive Politics (CRP), a group they labeled “nonpartisan.” Nowhere in their 2,457-word hit job on the Kochs, did the Post mention CRP’s Soros funding or Soros’ similar network of organizations and media outlets he uses to influence politics and the economy.

Apparently blind to the hypocrisy, the Center for Responsive Politics has received $725,000 from liberal...

President Barack Obama hired a new counselor for 2014, a man who used to lead a liberal Soros-funded group.

John Podesta, founder and president of the far-left Center for American Progress (CAP), was tapped by the administration and will focus on the health care law and climate change issues, according to a Dec. 9, New York Times article.

This isn’t the first time Podesta has worked with the president. He co-chaired the transition team when Obama first came into office. He was also White House chief of staff under Clinton.  Neera Tanden, who has worked for both Obama and Hillary Clinton, currently runs CAP.

The Center for American Progress epitomizes everything that liberals claim that they hate about the right.

CAP was part of coalition of liberal groups in March of 2012 who targeted the...

Liberals can’t stand when anyone disagrees with them.

Two left-wing groups, the Center for Media and Democracy and ProgressNow, launched a coordinated attack against the pro-free market State Policy Network. This attack came six months after the liberal Media Consortium was launching its own series of articles bashing SPN. The accusations that this Center for Media and Democracy report made were completely hypocritical, and misleading.

According to this report, the Center for Media and Democracy has a problem when conservative think tanks are funded by conservative donors and push a conservative agenda. They seem ignorant to the hypocrisy in this, since CMD is a liberal think tank, funded by liberal donors like George Soros, Bill Moyers and the Tides Foundation and pushing a decidedly liberal agenda.

This isn’t the first time CMD has attacked conservatives. In 2012, CMD joined with five other left-wing groups to launch a coordinated attack on the American...

More typhoons will happen unless liberal energy policies are adopted, and those who disagree have “blood on their hands” – at least according to climate alarmist Jeffrey Sachs.

Sachs, a friend of liberal billionaire George Soros and head of The Earth Institute at Columbia University and a favorite of the news media, appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Nov. 12 to discuss the recent tragedy caused by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

“What’s happening here, and this is the part that people have a hard time, you know, coming to grips with, is that we’re partly causing this,” Sachs said. “We’re causing this because there are more and more of these storms, because of the way that humanity is changing the world’s environment.”

Sach’s referenced an unnamed study that said that inclement weather...

George Soros just loves to meddle in American politics - especially if it's in support of liberal causes.

Soros's Open Society Foundation proudly claimed to have given $100 million dollars to "immigrant rights" projects in the United States. Of the $16.7 million of this money that BMI identified, at least $5,300,755, nearly a third, went to organizations that also supported other liberal causes, including abortion, gay marriage and Obamacare.

With $38.9 million in revenue in 2010 alone, the National Council on La Raza ($2,410,000 in Soros funding) calls itself "the largest national Hispanic civil rights and advocacy organization in the United States." It's also one of the most blatantly liberal. La Raza focused heavily on promoting the Affordable Care Act, as well supporting same-sex marriage. It has also been...

Liberal billionaire George Soros has accepted a position on the National Finance Council of the Ready For Hillary Super PAC, a group paving the way for a 2016 presidential run for the former first lady. Soros, 83, has long been a monetary influence behind liberal politics, but this is the first time he has accepted a formal role on an American political campaign. Soros has a long history of funding liberals and attacking conservatives, and spent more than $27.5 million trying to defeat President George W. Bush in 2004, including funding such groups as MoveOn.org.

The Washington Post article on this recent announcement referred to Soros as a “billionaire investor, philanthropist and backer of liberal causes,” but this significantly understates Soros’...

A Soros-funded journalism organization also has copies of secret intelligence files from NSA leaker Edward Snowden. Reuters revealed this during an Aug. 30 article that called ProPublica an “independent investigative journalism group,” and made no mention of its political left-wing leanings. ProPublica is a liberal investigative journalism outfit that has received $300,000 from George Soros’ Open Society Foundations since 2000 and millions of dollars from the liberal Sandler Foundation.

According to the Reuters story, the British Government is asking The New York Times to destroy its copies of British intelligence documents, but “[t]o date, no-one has contacted ProPuiblica.” The British news outlet The Guardian also had Snowden documents, which it said have since been destroyed. Both the Guardian and The New York Times are listed as...

Millions of young “invincible” Americans should buy insurance that they probably will not use very much in order to keep ObamaCare afloat, according to Aug. 15 CBS “Evening News.”

The one-sided report promoted ObamaCare, by talking to only a young man who intends to sign up with a government exchange and a woman from a group supportive of the law.

CBS made it sound like buying insurance in your twenties for a couple hundred dollars a month is easy, but failed to point out an economic factor that could make this difficult: high youth unemployment in the U.S. According to the May 3, 2013, New York Times, “Over the last 12 years, the United States has gone from having the highest share of employed 25- to 34-year-olds...

Liberal billionaire George Soros celebrates his 83rd birthday on Aug. 12.  The left-wing philanthropist continues to have a deep-vested interest in American politics, including a recent endorsement of  Democrat Bill de Blasio for mayor of New York City.

Soros has a long history of funding liberals and attacking conservatives, and spent more than $25.5 million to defeat President George W. Bush in 2004.

Soros also aids hundreds of left-wing groups in America each year under the auspices of his Open Society Foundations. In just 10 years, he gave more than $550 million to liberal organizations in the United States. This has included money going to fund liberal agenda topics like Earth Day, gun control, government funding of...
